The Color Wheel. Artists and designers use these to create a particular look or feel. In other words the color wheel is a way of organizing colors into a spectrum, and understanding how different colors relate to one another.
Let's learn about the color wheel. Pick a color on the color wheel then draw a straight line across the color wheel, this is the color's complement. Dark and Light Colors Darker patches are often more noticeable than light patches, so they can be used to create contrast in a quilt, but color warmth can step in and make the darks recede.
